Question

Is this a vacation or a real conference?

This is a professional conference for Maximo and TRIRIGA practitioners. The program is structured to promote learning, collaboration, and practical problem-solving — not passive participation.

Every session, every meal, and every shared moment is designed to move your work forward.
Question

Won't being on a cruise be distracting?

Actually, the opposite is true. At MAXCON™, everything is contained in one environment and one shared experience.

There's no commuting — but more importantly, no fragmented schedules, no competing agendas, and no easy pull back into day-to-day work.

You're with the same group, in the same place, all week. That's what creates focus — and why conversations don't stop when sessions end. They continue, deepen, and turn into real problem-solving and relationship building.

Other than being on a cruise, what makes this different?

Typical industry conferences feel like trade shows. MAXCON™ feels like a working session with the people you actually want in the room.

1

Shared experiences mean deeper connections

4 days together creates relationships that outlast any ballroom event.

2

No exhibit hall

Zero booth noise. More time to actually talk to practitioners and decision-makers.

3

Practitioner-led sessions

Taught by the people who actually run Maximo and TRIRIGA in production — not vendor marketing.

4

Hands-on workshops

Real labs with real environments you can work in during and after the event.

5

Dedicated time to apply new knowledge

Built-in application time — not just lectures then a flight home.

Why is attendance limited?

We have capacity for up to 300 seats, and that's the ceiling by design.

Smaller groups foster better outcomes. Limiting attendance ensures meaningful interaction, deeper discussions, and direct access to experienced practitioners — the kind of access that's impossible at a 5,000-person vendor expo.

Once the 300 seats are gone, they're gone. No overflow rooms.

Question

Will onshore days in the Bahamas take away from the conference experience?

No. Mornings are dedicated to workshops onboard, followed by optional time ashore to continue conversations in a more relaxed setting.

Evenings bring everyone back together for MAXCON™ networking and activities — creating a balanced, highly engaging experience.

The format isn't an accident. It's how relationships form faster than any other conference in the industry.
Question

Can I bring a spouse or companion?

Yes. One companion can be added at a reduced rate. Your companion gets the cabin share, all meals, beverages, and entertainment — so they can relax while you're in sessions.

Companion passes do not include sessions, labs, or the certification workshop. Add during registration or email us to upgrade later.

Question

What if I miss the ship?

Flight delays and cancellations happen. We strongly recommend arriving the day before to avoid missing the ship and your conference. Costs and alternate transport are the traveler's responsibility.

Question

Will I have Wi-Fi onboard?

Yes. Your registration includes VOOM Surf + Stream for one device — Royal Caribbean’s Starlink-powered Wi-Fi, now running across the entire fleet. It’s fast enough for email, Slack, Zoom and Microsoft Teams calls, VPN sessions, and accessing your Maximo lab environment during workshops. Real-world speeds on comparable Oasis-class ships have measured 80+ Mbps down — faster than most hotel Wi-Fi.

Cell service is available at ports of call, but international roaming charges may apply depending on your carrier and plan. We recommend setting your phone to airplane mode while onboard and connecting to VOOM Wi-Fi instead — that keeps you connected without surprise carrier fees.

Question

Can I stay reachable for work while on the ship?

Yes — this is the most common practical question we get. Three things to know:

  • VOOM Wi-Fi runs ship-wide (cabin, session rooms, deck) and is fast enough for Zoom, Teams, VPN, and cloud-based work. You can handle most urgent items without leaving a session.
  • The itinerary includes a port day in Nassau on Day 2, where standard cellular service is available if you want to step off the ship for an hour to handle something on your own carrier.
  • Nassau (NAS) is a major international airport with direct flights to most U.S. hubs, in the rare case someone would need to leave the conference early.

Practically: tell your team you’ll be reachable during normal business hours. The cruise format eliminates the morning shuttle commute and the scattered-hotel-room timing that typically fragments land-based conferences, so most attendees find they have more clean response time than at a typical off-site, not less.

Who should attend?

This conference is ideal for those working with Maximo or TRIRIGA who seek in-depth, practical content — whether you're the admin running it or the leader funding it.

Why are there no vendor booths at MAXCON™?

Because booths attract crowds — not necessarily meaningful conversations. Often they're just chaotic.

More time to build relationships with ongoing engagement all week, and more access to decision-makers in sessions, discussions, and networking events.

  • No exhibit hall
  • No booth prep and shipping logistics
  • No forced or rushed interactions
  • No distractions
